Grace & Glory was founded by Allie Nunzi - teacher, traveler, thought leader, creative strategist, trusted advisor, and breaker of yoga stereotypes. Since the ripe age of 19, she has taught and trained all over the world, studied with some of the most respected leaders in the yoga and mindfulness space, and brought it all home to Southern New Jersey in 2012 - creating a movement, not just a studio. Allie built Grace & Glory Yoga and The Leadership Studio on a wild idea - that sweat, service, and grace could change the world - and then proved herself right.
With over 20 years of teaching experience under her belt and over 13 years since the start of her first studio space, she knows it comes down to this:
Move, breathe, pay attention. Presence over perfection. Take the next correct action. Repeat.
She’s also the host of This Human Experience podcast (tuned into in 40+ countries), and the author of two emotional intelligence workbooks: How to Human Better (for students) and Disruptive Empathy (for educators). Allie is known for weaving wisdom and wit into her teachings, and for making the ancient feel refreshingly modern. She doesn't believe in making you comfortable - she believes in deep conversation and reminding you of your power. She's a mother, entrepreneur, brain nerd, and serial third space-maker. On the mat, in the boardroom, or behind a mic - she's always bringing the fire with her fierce grace. With multiple organizations in her collective, Allie's primary role these days is ensuring that Grace & Glory Yoga stays at the cutting edge of modern science, stays connected to its ancient roots, and keeps the spirit of our community at its core. She is our Lead Facilitator at Grace & Glory School of Yoga and leads our 200 & 300 hour teacher training courses, our leadership development programs, and mentors our Senior Faculty.
Today, the Grace & Glory studios are led by an incredible, diverse team of teachers and leaders - including Allie’s husband, Ray Nunzi, who also runs Nunzi Media, a photography and videography studio capturing the human spirit at its most real. Together, Allie and Ray are raising their two daughters, Josephine and Lucia - the legacy of Grace & Glory Yoga - in their native South Jersey, while sneaking in as much travel, live music, and family adventure as possible.
