Personal responsibility is a choice, and it's one we are asking you to make as you come into our spaces and studios.
To participate in our classes and courses, we require compliance with the following community safety guidelines:
We do not allow cell phones in the practice room
Your time on your mat is sacred - and so is everyone else’s in the room. To minimize distraction, please leave your phones with your belongings outside of the room. We do not permit filming or photography of any kind to occur in the room without proper and prior approval.
We are a drug & alcohol-free environment
Many folks in the community are on the path of recovery from substance use disorder and continued sobriety. Out of respect to our fellow students, if you are attending classes and under the influence of a mind-altering substance, you will be asked to leave. This includes the use of marijuana and/or having it on your person.
COVID-19 protocols
Please understand that wherever people gather, there is a risk of contracting COVID-19. Mask or no mask: be kind, respect others’ personal choice, and do what is best for you. We will continue to uphold strict cleaning practices including sanitization after each class and limit class capacities for your comfort.
If you are experiencing a higher-than-average temperature, cold, and/or flu-like symptoms, respectfully, please stay home.
Nervous system-informed practices & a stigma-free environment
Our main priority at Grace & Glory Yoga is generating safe spaces for folks to gather, process, and develop. While we cannot always account for the words, actions, or behaviors of others, we are accountable for the practices set forth by our staff and how we uphold our standards. Each member of our teaching staff is trained in trauma-informed facilitation. We feel that this is important due to the somatic nature of yoga and meditation and our desire to allow each person to have agency in their own experience.
How trauma presents in a body is different for everyone. We aim to support you in understanding yourself more fully, have our staff be intentional in not causing any further harm, and hold space that is both empathetic and compassionate. Please note that we strongly encourage you to listen to your own body, always know you can opt out of participation at any time, and adapt your practice in any way you see fit. At any point if you are unclear or unsure, please connect with your teacher.
Grace & Glory Yoga understands the inequities that exist in the wellness space and is proactive in training our staff to acknowledge and further explore their own biases and the implicit biases that may unconsciously exist. We provide trainings on racial bias, racial trauma, and generating inclusive environments for all people. Our studios welcome all identities and expressions. We are both individually and collectively committed to our perpetual learning of creating a safe and inclusive yoga community.

Clear & informed consent
Our yoga staff is committed to not providing hands-on assists and/or adjustments unless clear and informed consent has been provided directly from the student. This may include in written form, the use of “Yes! Assist Me!” mat tags in an asana class, or verbalization that has been made explicitly clear to both student and teacher.
If there is anything you would like to share and/or report to our administrative staff, please email us at hello@graceandgloryoga.com. Your confidential feedback is valued.
The studios & classrooms are locked during class times
You may have noticed our “Class begins on time” postings at the studios. Not only does this allow us to have time integrity and help to minimize disruption, more so, this is a safety measure. Your belongings will also be locked in the studio; however, we do suggest you not bring anything of significant value. We cannot be held responsible for items lost or stolen.
Children are not permitted to be unattended by a guardian
As parents, we understand that childcare is a challenge. Unfortunately, we neither have the appropriate resources for adequate supervision nor are we licensed and insured to provide such services. Please do not leave minors in the lobby while you are in class. We will need to ask you to leave, as your children’s safety is important to us.
Our regularly scheduled asana classes (non-kids yoga specific) are intended for ages 16 & up. Minors under 18 will need the consenting signature of their legal guardian on our liability waiver for all classes and workshops.
