At 19 years old, Nicola Tutschek first found yoga after feeling unfulfilled with her usual exercise routines. She often pushed herself too hard, leaving her body drained and her spirit unsatisfied. Signing up for a yoga class at her gym changed everything. For the first time, she left movement feeling light, rejuvenated, and renewed - an experience that sparked her devotion to the practice. Nicola completed her 200-hour Power Yoga certification with Grace & Glory Yoga, a journey she describes as transformative. Along the way, she has been shaped by teachers including Allie Nunzi, Emma Bergman, Mae Gant, Tasha Shirk, Amber Morris, Dom Rivera, Sedona Hill, and Halim Khan, as well as her professors at Stockton University. Her practice is also deeply influenced by her heartfulness meditation community. Her teaching style blends intention and accessibility. Students can expect to breathe together, sweat together, and explore alignment with purpose. Nicola frequently teaches from modifications, encouraging the use of props like blocks to support depth and presence in each posture. For her, yoga is about cultivating connection and leaving class feeling more energized and whole.
Outside of the studio, Nicola is studying Sustainability at Stockton University and works as the Garden Facilitator at CROPS in Atlantic City, where she combines her love of community and food systems. She is passionate about growing food locally, creating sustainable communities, and exploring building science with the goal of becoming an energy auditor. Joy for Nicola is found in hiking, gardening, flower arranging, puzzles, arts & crafts, cooking, journaling, coffee shop hangs, and sharing meals with people she loves - often with her cat by her side.
Her guiding wisdom is: “Allow yourself to notice the resistance and keep softening - embrace it into yourself.”
