Amber is the representation of recovery -in-motion and an activist for body-inclusivity and inclusion-for-all.

Amber Morris first stepped into Grace & Glory Yoga in August 2023 for a Recovery Yoga class. From that very first session, she knew she belonged in the space. Through the support of The Leadership Studio’s scholarship program, she completed the Teacher Leader Development Program in 2023 and earned her certification in Power Vinyasa Yoga (200 hr RYT). In January 2025, she added her Yin Yoga certification to her teaching toolkit. For Amber, yoga is more than a practice - it’s a staple in her addiction recovery and the springboard for her body acceptance journey.

As a teacher who exists in a larger body, her mission is clear: inclusion, representation, and accessibility. She stands as a living invitation for people of all shapes and sizes to claim space in the studio, knowing that every body is a yoga body. Amber’s favorite part of being on the Grace & Glory and Leadership Studio teams is the accountability and community support that continually call her into her best self. She describes her experience as rooted in radical love and radical acceptance — the very gifts she hopes to give her students. Her life outside the studio is just as full: Amber has been sober since March 23, 2020 - navigating early sobriety during the Covid pandemic with the support of our yoga community. She’s a new cat lover with three fur babies, and a proud mom to two sons. Her teenager, Lucian, studies animation in high school, while her younger son, Issy, is autistic and a computer whiz. They are a familiy that proudly celebrates neurodivergence and body difference - two things that make the world and this community so beautiful.

Spiritually, she’s a lifelong student of the Tao Te Ching, carrying with her wisdom like: “Accept disgrace willingly. Accept misfortune as the human condition.” (Ch. 13) and “He who knows that enough is enough will always have enough.” (Ch.46).

She teaches with passion for inclusion, representation, and accessibility, believing that every body is a yoga body.
